GLOBAL S utilizes smart technologies to offer a complete solution packaged with hardware technologies, UX (User Experience) capabilities, and software integrations. In this article, we will take a deeper dive into what these smart technologies are and howthey are designed to deliver productivity to your manufacturing facility.
Hardware Technologies
Compass
Compass technology is an advanced vibration-reduction system which guarantees performance accuracy even during high-speed scanning. Using the combination of hardware and firmware solutions, it enables you to maximize throughput without compromising accuracy.
Scan Pilot
Programming and setup times are minimized by utilizing the advanced firmware algorithms in Scan Pilot. GLOBAL S scans the most complex profiles and even the trickiest workpieces can be scanned quickly and accurately.
Fly2Mode
With the help of Fly2 Mode, a next-generation trajectory-control technology, your CMM glides smoothly through its movements, cutting program execution times. Fly2Mode also automatically optimizes the route between measurement points, reducing machine idle times.
UX Capabilities
Status Lighting
The GLOBAL S messaging light kit integrates LED alert lights into the CMM so you can check machine status at a glance, even at a distance. This means the CMM can be left to measure, allowing you to optimize time and resource management.
PULSE
PULSE uses a networkof sensors to provide real-time monitoring of environmental conditions that could influence the quality of measured data. PULSE records variations in temperature, humidity, vibrations as well as probe crashes and can send automatic alerts when an environmental condition threshold is breached. Information is displayed on an easy-to-understand dashboard to support the fast pace of lean manufacturing environments.
Jogbox
The balanced design offers a solid and secure feeling in your hand, allowing you to measure with more confidence. The materials selected for the NJB ensure the right feel and reduce fatigue during usage. Crafted from carefully chosen and robust materials, the Next Jogbox allows you to measure with confidence knowing your system is fully protected.
Software Integrations
PC-DMIS Notification Center
The recently released PC-DMIS R1 has an integrated notification center that allows you to always keep an eye on multiple inspection processes with the debut of configurable warnings. This first version supports both embedded lights, like those on the GLOBAL S, as well as external light stacks. For quieter lab environments, you can also configure multiple sound events from the PC speakers.
INSPECT
INSPECT is a single touch interface built for the shop floor production environment. INSPECT is simple to configure from the administrator level and even simpler to use from the operator level tool to run PC-DMIS inspection routines without having to navigate PC-DMIS.
