Experience the Future of Design and Engineering at HxGN LIVE 2019

Compared to other trade shows and conferences, the uniqueness of HxGN LIVE can be seen in its focus on one-of-a-kind solution offerings that span geosystems, geospatial, product lifecycle management, computer-aided engineering (CAE) – and that’s just to name a few areas. From 11-14 June, attendees at the Las Vegas event can witness and even test outcompelling technologies that address big picture trends in our modern world like digitalisation, big data, the industrial internet of things (IIoT), as well as autonomous connected ecosystems.

HxGN LIVE is also invaluable for how deeply it is tailored to the needs of attendees, particularly with its specialised subtracks. In the Design and Engineering subtrack, attendees will be able to see how predictive simulation toolsets from MSC Software contribute to greater efficiency across a range of industries. It’s a unique opportunity for users to learn how these solutions, combined with technologies in Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence’s production software and metrology segments, can offer a uniquely smart digital twin for increased productivity gains and significant ROIs.

Last year, Hexagon announced both Xalt and its ‘Smart X’ strategy, which features focus areas for our business including Smart Mines/Farms, Smart Factories, Smart Cities, Smart Autonomous Fleets and Smart Construction. This year, I am very excited to present MSC Software’s inputsin this fast-developing storyline at Hexagon, especially related to the Smart Factory and Smart Autonomous Fleet strands where we have been intimately involved in developing new solutions and synergies over the last year.

On the Tuesday of this year’s event, we will have four Customer Advisory Boards, which will allow software users to consult with MSC Software experts to problem-solve any issues or challenges. This will be followed by tracks focused on autonomous/mobility systems, additive manufacturing, aerospace and advanced/co-simulation. Attendees will also learn about how our software solutions are beneficial to automotive and aerospace applications in Thursday’s industry-specific sessions.

Personally, I am most looking forward to welcoming and hearing from the many blue chip customers that will be presenting at HxGN LIVE. These include GM, Honda, Northrop Grumman, Gulfstream, Coca Cola, Ryerson International Hyperloop and Embraer in the Wednesday and Thursday sessions.

To get the most out of HxGN LIVE, attendees really should check out The Zone, which is the place to see a wide range of Hexagon technologies. I am told it will be amazing this year – a real sweeping showcase for the complete Hexagon Smart X vision in relation to the world that we inhabit today and, critically, to its future.

Be sure to check out our MSC Software sessions to see what is the latest and greatest in the CAE simulation space, especially for co-simulation. Our customers presenting how they are successfully using our tools is always the gold standard I feel, and I would encourage first-time attendees and returning delegates to come to those sessions, talk to us and ask lots of questions. Just soak it all up!
